–Nancy Holcomb, 65, U.S. Route 62, Beloit, was cited for assured clear distance after her eastbound vehicle on U.S. Route 62 struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Jeremy Ellinger, 47, 13th Street, Sebring, at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 7 in Knox Township. Ellinger was waiting for oncoming traffic before making a left turn. Holcomb reported possible injuries but did not require medical attention on site.

–Lisa Clark, 63, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was cited for driving in marked lanes after her southbound vehicle went off the right side of the road striking a fence and a cow on Cream Ridge Road in Maddison Township at 8:44 p.m. Sept. 6. No injuries were reported.

–Todd Small, 36, Y and O Road, East Liverpool, was cited for OVI, improper handling of a firearm and assured clear distance after his westbound vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Janelle Kim, 27, Monroe Street, Berea, who was cited for OVI and failure to wear a seat belt, causing Kim’s vehicle to strike a vehicle driven by Brian Ferguson, 36, Mulberry Street, East Liverpool, on East Liverpool Road in Saint Clair Township at 9:53 p.m. Sept. 4. Following the initial impact Small struck a tree and Kim struck a fence. Small and Kim were transported to Salem City Hospital for treatment. Ferguson was uninjured and able to drive from the scene.

–Joanna Parry, 47, South Avenue, Columbiana, was southbound on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 5:12 p.m. Sept. 4 when her vehicle began smoking and caught fire. No injuries were reported.

–Chad Cowden, 35, U.S. Route 30, Hanoverton, was cited for failure to control and hit skip after his southbound vehicle crossed the center line and traveled off the left side of the road and began to overturn, striking a guard rail on Depot Road in Hanover Township at 5:50 p.m. Sept. 2. No injuries were reported.

–A 16-year-old of state Route 172, Kensington, was cited for failure to control after her westbound vehicle on Georgetown Road went off the right side of the road, striking a guard rail in Knox Township after allegedly swerving to avoid a cat at 6:42 p.m. Sept. 1. No injuries were reported.

–Jennifer Jarvis, 53, Washington Street, Salineville, was cited for failure to control and hit skip after her westbound vehicle on Walnut Ridge Road went off the right side of the roadway, striking a rock before overturning in Washington Township at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 1 in Washington Township. No injuries were reported.

–Curtis Vaught, 62, Valktrie Street, East Canton, was cited for failure to control after his northbound vehicle on Rochester Road drove off the right side of the roadway while negotiating a curve and struck a utility pole in Knox Township at 5:22 p.m. Aug. 31. Vaught reported his right arm hurt but refused transport by EMS on site.

–Gail Lippillo, 63, Pierce Drive, Youngstown, was cited for failure to control after her northbound vehicle on Depot Road drove off the right side of the road in Hanover Township at 2:13 p.m. Aug. 31. Lippillo was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown for treatment for a broken wrist, stitches to the chin, and cuts and bruises to her arms and legs.

— A Fredericktown-Clarkson Road, Middleton Township resident reported at 7:42 p.m. Thursday that his neighbor’s cows were on his property. Another neighbor called at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday about the cows being loose and on her property and in the road. The owner was advised.

— A West Township resident on U.S. Route 30 reported at 7:39 p.m. Thursday that his neighbor was threatening him. A deputy spoke to the neighbor, who said he told the man to stop yelling. Both men were told to stay on their own properties and to have no contact with each other.

— A deputy assisted Salem police on a traffic stop at South Ellsworth and East Wilson Street at 4:24 p.m. Thursday.

— A Bayard Road, West Township resident reported at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday that his ex-girlfriend was harassing his fiancee. He was told how to obtain a protection order.

— A Middleton Township woman from state Route 170 reported at 7:29 p.m. Wednesday that her boyfriend made her get out of his vehicle and drove away with her wallet still inside. She was in the parking lot of Gorby’s in Negley.

— A woman on state Route 517 in Elkrun Township reported at 7:19 p.m. Wednesday that there’s an ongoing problem with the neighbor over the location of their mailbox. She was told it’s a civil matter and to contact an attorney.

— A Lisbon Road, Salem Township woman reported at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday that statues and landscape lights were knocked over on her property.

— A Malvern woman reported at 3:22 p.m. Wednesday that a man who is in the Stark County Jail signed over his vehicle to her and his soon-to-be ex-wife has the vehicle. She was told it’s a civil matter and to contact an attorney.

— A deputy was dispatched at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Bargain Store Thrift Shop on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township for a stolen cargo trailer.
